Year 7 De Montfort University TripPosted on: 12/05/2019
30 of our Year 7 students had had an opportunity to visit De Montfort University and gain experience in a higher education setting. Our students gained problem solving, team work, money management and map reading skills.
Here’s what Jonathan said:
“On Friday we visited De Montfort University for a problem solving trip. Firstly the Lancaster students split up into 3 groups and walked about the university visiting different buildings and areas. We then returned to the lecture room for a snack. The second activity we did was my favourite, it tested our team-work and money management skills. The aim was to build the highest tower from spaghetti and marshmallow. If we run out of resources we could buy more. We ended up winning and received a pen as a prize!”
