Year 11 GCSE Results Day Thursday 20th August
Results day arrangements: 20th August 2020
Monday 6th July 2020
Dear Year 11 Students,
I hope you have been keeping safe and well during this unusual time, since school closed. It is a shame that your time at Lancaster had to come to such an abrupt end and that people did not have chance to say a proper goodbye. We are really looking forward to seeing you back at school on Thursday 20th August so that you can receive your GCSE results.
This year because of Covid-19, we are inviting students to come into school at an allocated time (this information is also on the website) to enable us to manage social distancing requirements. The time’s we would like you to come to school is:
Thursday 20th August
11CH – 9.30 – 10.00
11KC – 10.00 – 10.30
11RCS 10.30 – 11.00
11SA Intervention 11.00 – 11.15
11IA – 11.15 – 11.45
11SB – 11.45 – 12.15
11MP – 12.15 – 12.45
11ZH – 12.45 – 1.15
Please listen carefully to staff and follow the queuing requirements. You should walk down the drive, round the back of the school and observe the social distancing markers. You will collect your results from the Atrium, move through to the Hall and either leave straight away or stay and open your envelope. You should then either leave immediately or move to the Learning Advice area to get support and guidance about next steps.
It is important that you keep to your time slot as we do not want any unnecessary spreading of the virus. Should you arrive later than this time you will not be able to collect your results but will receive your result through the post. This is to ensure that we manage numbers of students through the building and keep all students and staff safe throughout the day.
Results day is always an exciting and potentially daunting day for students. For your support, there will be staff in attendance on the day to answer questions or concerns about grades, college placements and any other general questions you have about your next steps. If you choose not to come to results day, your results will be posted to you.
We look forward to seeing you in August. In the meantime, please stay safe.
My very best wishes to you and your family.
Anna Fisher (Principal)
