Y11 - Covid-19 Update
Date: Wednesday 14th October
Ref: Important information that you need to be made aware of
Thank you for your on-going support of The Lancaster Academy.
I would like to inform you that a student in Year 11 has tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19).
This student has come into close contact with your child’s ‘bubble’ and following advice from the DfE/Public Health England we ask that you keep your child at home until Monday 26th October.
If at any time during this period your child shows signs of symptoms then they must be tested and the outcome of this may affect the return date.
If your child is eligible for Free School Meals, then they will be entitled to a food parcel, which will need to be collected from reception, tomorrow or Friday.
Work is set on SMHW so that your child can learn from home during this period of isolation.
I would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that we are doing everything within our power to keep our school community safe during this time and ask that you continue to follow the most up to date government guidance to keep you and your family safe.
I am aware that this is an uncertain time for parents and I send my very best wishes to you and your families. If you would like any more information that we are able to give, please contact us.
