Year 7 Ready Day

READY DAY

Year 7 students went on a trip to the Botanic Gardens was full of different activities including visiting Desert, tropical rainforest and temperate glass houses looking at cactuses and examples of plant adaptations. Students were excited to take part in pond dipping activities identify animals found and creating food webs and analysing microscopic life in samples of pond life. Students also experienced using quadrats and light detectors to measure abiotic factors. Students also carried out experiments to test water retention of the soil.
