Welcome to the Lancaster School

Lancaster is an ambitious, caring and successful 11-16 all boys’ comprehensive school which serves the city of Leicester. Boys come from diverse ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds, which contributes to our unique ethos.

We have high expectations of our pupils and seek to develop their commitment, determination and confidence in striving to achieve their “personal best” performance in all areas of school life.
At Lancaster we aim to help our young boys develop into confident and articulate young men who have the skills, knowledge and understanding to be successful; and are equipped with the attitudes and values to be responsible citizens in our society.

A wide and varied curriculum enables our boys to flourish in an environment free from stereotyping and prepares them for life after Lancaster. We believe that Lancaster provides wonderful opportunities for our boys to enjoy and through which our boys grow and develop.

The Lancaster School Pledge

I will always be conscientious, Prepared to make the best effort that I possibly can to reach my true potential.

I will be Resilient in everything that I do, recognising and cherishing the efforts made by the Lancaster community on my behalf.

As an ambassador of Lancaster I will show Integrity at all times, be truthful to myself and others, always trying to do the right thing.

I will always champion the Diversity within our school, and in the wider world, valuing care and consideration, respect and tolerance for all.

I will embrace the Enterprising spirit here, in all aspects of my learning, and strive to achieve the best future for myself and for the school.

Based on a piece of work undertaken by:
Mr Boyd (Pastoral Head of KS4), Neil Kapadia, Charlie May, Tyler Glendinning, Khye Hussein, Roman Kenny-Manning, Sam Dalzell, Felix Milan and O'Shae Athill

This is encapsulated in our vision for the school:
