The Lancaster Duxford ChallengePosted on: 25/06/2018
A group of 49 keen Y9/Y10 historians visited the Imperial War museum at Duxford and took part in “The Lancaster Duxford challenge”. Tasked with identifying 12 exhibits that told the story of WW2 the students engaged well and after several hours visiting the many exhibition hangers. Winners on the day were Alfie, Fenn and Muhammad. An excellent day out exploring military and aviation history was brought to life by the Cold war game theory problem solving exercise, run by the IWM who were able to show our students how a computer simulation prevented nuclear holocaust during cold war.
Thanks to Mr Sandford, Ms Limbert and Ms Bar for accompanying the trip.
