Armistice Artwork!

Posted on: 19/11/2018

We are proud to share with you this piece of commemorative art completed on our Bright Futures Day, 9th November 2018. It was created to commemorate the centenary of the 1918 Armistice that eventually brought about the end of WW1. Everyone in school was invited to add their thumb print to create the overall impressionist image of a field in Flanders. In this way we gave a little of ourselves in recognition for how much sacrifice was made by people in WW1. They gave their lives so that we could, and do, enjoy freedoms that might have been lost and that we so easily take for granted.

‘We will remember them.’
