DAF Ford & Slater work experience success for Year 11 students

Continuing to build on our links to DAF Ford & Slater, I am pleased to report that we have been able to send another three of our students over to the Leicester depot for work experience placements. These students had shown a particular interest for going into the automotive industry and more specifically the apprenticeship option.

Apprenticeships have been enjoying a resurgence in popularity in recent years and are an ideal option for individuals who want to get into the working world directly, but with the advantage of earning while you learn.

The work experience placements are just one part of our constantly evolving careers programme within the academy and is something that we are looking to expand further to enable more students to have the opportunity to experience the realities of working life.
