Trip to The King Power

Wednesday 13^th March saw the launch of a new initiative across the Multi Academy Trust to raise boys’ achievement.  20 boys from Year 10 have been selected for the programme from each school and attended the launch at the King Power Stadium. The initiative involves the teams from Lancaster Academy, Babington Academy and South Wigston High School compete against each other in a range of activities to earn points and challenge for the league title. Over the remainder of the academic year the schools will come together once a month and compete in challenges with a focus on English, Science, Maths and Sport. As well as the rewards on offer across the MAT the students are in teams within their own school and will also be rewarded for completing weekly challenges, punctuality, attendance and behaviour for learning in all lessons.
