Year 6 Induction Day

Tuesday 2nd July

Lancaster Academy welcomed Year 6 students from primary schools for an action packed induction day.

The students experienced lessons in English, Science, PE, Expressive Arts, Humanities and ICT.

All students engaged brilliantly with the activities, they took the opportunity to familiarise themselves with The Lancaster Ways and meet with Teaching and Support Staff.

For many it was a good opportunity to experience the layout of the site, enjoy a healthy school lunch and see where they would spend their free time and meet up with their friends.

During break times, students demonstrated their skipping, football and hula hooping skills, while making new friendships.

We were really impressed with the enthusiasm and behaviour of our incoming Year 6 students and look forward to welcoming them to The Lancaster Academy next term.

A huge big thank you to our Peer Pals from Year 7 who supported the Year 6s with all aspects of the day. They were a credit to us and their families.
