London TripPosted on: 30/09/2019
Students who showed excellent PRIDE values and a commitment to self improvement throughout the last academic year were rewarded with an educational and inspirational trip to London. Students visited the Houses of Parliament where they explored some of the most famous parliamentary rooms and discovered the building's fascinating history and present day use. They were able to watch parliament in session both in the House of Lords and the House of Commons and took part in their own campaign workshop. Students also had the opportunity to visit the Tower of London and learn about our countries rich heritage as well as historical events that took place. Throughout the day students were fantastic ambassadors for the academy personifying our PRIDE values in their engagement with all opportunities and their communication towards each other, the staff and the general public.
Student responses are as follows:

"I understand a lot more about the different sides of the House of Lords and the House of Commons, I also found a lot out about the History of the Tower of London, which I found very interesting." - Tirth P
