LRC @ Lancaster Phase 2

Today saw the second instalment of the design process to create a new Learning Resources Centre at Lancaster.

30 Year 8 students were selected to take part based on their performance in the September Ready Day and took part with flair and enthusiasm in bucketloads.

Rob Day arrived from Blueprint to introduce the day, provide some insight into how spaces are created for real working environments and then guided students through a days process culminating in two teams presenting their ‘pitch, to their Client (Headteacher Mrs Fisher).

Students worked together extremely well and I am proud to have been able to work with such creative and thoughtful minds on a project which will now start to become a reality in time to come.

The challenge now is to finalise the design with a smaller team on the next Ready Day, but students are very excited at the prospect of being chosen to visit the working offices of Blueprint in Ashby next year.
